Created in 2010, Rough Cut takes place each year and welcomes the participation of schools throughout New York City and beyond.
Congratulations to this year's student filmmakers! The competition was fierce, but three short films emerged victorious:
Best Narrative Film and the Audience Award: "Soaring" by Pier Paolo Piccoli (Lycée Français)
Best Experimental Film: "Song of a Lonely Bird" by Jiaqi Liu (Staten Island Academy)
Best Documentary Film and the Jury Prize: "The Revolution is at Hunter College" by Mathilde Malpartida Durroux, Gabriel Husain and Jaques Chrysostomou (Lycée Français)
Thank you to friends and classmates who came to support our cinematic work.
