The Department of French Associated with the CDI and with the active support of the APL set up the Literary Prizes of the Lycée Français de New York (Prix Lycée and Prix Jeunesse).
A jury composed of members of the Lycée community read from November to April five books selected from the French/Francophone novelist literature of the last five years and award one of the four selected authors the Literary Prize of the Lycée Français de New York.
The author of the winning novel is included in the French reading program of one of the high school levels and is invited to make a lecture at the Lycée.
The jury is made up of students (secondary level - from Y10 to Y12), professors (primary/secondary), members of the administration and parents.
