Francophonie Concert – Voices of the Indian Ocean
On the occasion of the Francophonie celebration, we invite you on a musical journey to the heart of the Indian Ocean. This year’s concert highlights two female artists whose distinctive styles are deeply rooted in their cultural heritages.
Originally from Réunion Island and now based in New York, Natie is a singer-songwriter and violinist. After performing on stage alongside Beyoncé and Jay-Z, she now focuses on her own repertoire, exploring her Creole identity with sensitivity and energy through richly blended, vibrant music.
Joining her is Niu Raza, a singer-songwriter of Malagasy origin, whose work resonates with themes of identity, migration, and empowerment. Her distinctive and committed voice builds bridges between cultures and continents.
Together, they will present a program combining reinterpretations of beloved French classics and Francophone pop songs with their original compositions, infused with the captivating rhythms of maloya, the traditional music of Réunion Island.
An evening of sharing and celebration, organized with the support of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.
General Admission: $30
Reduced Ticket (students, with valid ID): $10
