Thursday, April 24 2025Y11 students will attend a masterclass from French-Congolese writer Alain Mabanckou, who is also Professor at UCLA.
Alain Mabanckou is a novelist, journalist, poet, and academic. A French citizen born in the Republic of Congo, he currently teaches literature and creative writing in the Department of European Languages & Transcultural Studies at UCLA. Known for his novels and non-fiction writing depicting the experience of contemporary Africa and the African diaspora in France, Mabanckou is among the most recognized Franco African writers in France in contemporary literature.
