Project: Students made a forest in
kakemonos (Japanese scrolls that display painting or calligraphy) with images and cutouts of animals who live there. The final show was imagined as a journey from a natural forest to the “urban forest”, integrating their home city, New York.
About the artist:
Antoine Guilloppé is a French author-illustrator. Since 1998 he published several books for children such as Petit Glaçon, Akiko, or Loup Noir. He was born in 1971 at Chambéry and he currently lives in Montrouge, near Paris. Since 2010, he has been working on a new technique for illustrations using laser cutting. This innovation made his drawings famous.
