About the Philharmonie de Paris
Featuring several concert halls, a museum, a multimedia library and numerous educational spaces, the Philharmonie de Paris is an unprecedented project. An exceptional architectural ensemble within the Parc de la Villette, its resident trainings and its innovative artistic project contribute to making it a cultural hub unique in the world, promoting the appropriation of music by the public.
Beyond the classical repertory, its programming is open to current music and world music, as well as to dance. The new institution continues and amplifies the policy of education and ambitious cultural democratization initiated by the Cité de la Musique more than twenty years ago. Strengthened by these riches, the Philharmonie de Paris has set itself the task of rethinking the place of the concert in our lives, integrating it in the heart of an open system, favoring all forms of educational or playful appropriation. Located in the east of Paris,it is a link between the capital and its surroundings, a place of gathering.
