Children Choose their Menu
Students will have the chance to visit iconic New York restaurant Le Bernardin and will create a four-course meal with its acclaimed owner and chef Eric Ripert. Together with him, they will think about the meal's balance and ingredients, and will design the menu's layout with art teachers. Finally, students will shop fresh ingredients at the market and each class will cook one course and invite their parents for an exciting tasting.
About Eric Ripert
Eric Ripert is the chef and co-owner of the New York Restaurant Le Bernardin with 3 Michelin stars. He has partnered with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company to open Blue in Grand Cayman, is Vice Chairman of the board of City Harvest, and is a recipient of the Legion d’Honneur, France’s highest honor. He has hosted YouTube’s “On the Table,” which debuted on the Reserve Channel in July 2012, and was also the host of his own Emmy-award winning PBS TV series “Avec Eric”. Ripert is the author of six cookbooks, including Avec Eric (2010), On the Line (2008), A Return to Cooking (2002), Le Bernardin – Four Star Simplicity (1998), My Best: Eric Ripert (2014), and 32 Yolks: From My Mother's Table to Working the Line (2016).
